Hence, It is not implemented on Siri as well - so on saying hey siri, close youtube app - it won’t. Opening and closing the apps take more battery life, so it is designed that way. The App also allows adjusting other new Godox products, but I don't have any. It performs better when the apps are open in the background so that one can easily switch back. It can be handy, but I rarely use it, preferring instead to just take the X2Tc with me to adjust the light levels. That way, you could easily move around set. This just avoids the need to take the X2Tc transmitter off the camera to take with you and your light meter when setting the light levels. In those cases, what you really need is a small, handheld viewfinder with its own adjustable lens. The X Pro transmitters don't yet work with this Bluetooth App.

The phone App changes the settings in the X2Tc, so when I go back to the camera and X2Tc transmitter, all of the levels of the lights are already adjusted and ready for the first shot.

My Godox speedlites and X2Tc transmitter can be controlled via a Godox Cell Phone App that controls up to 5 groups of lights via Bluetooth to the X2Tc transmitter, so I can use the cell phone and my light meter to set the levels of each of my lights. I would probably default to it if in the field and I had problems with my laptop.

I haven't had much need for this, but it does work. How to film yourself with an iPhone when you cant see the display - 5 ways to correctly frame your HD and 4k selfie video when you cant see your iPhones. The Canon App that I use with my Android cell phone is almost identical in operation and appearance, but sends the taken photos to the cell phone when connected, of course through WIFI at close to the same WIFI speed 8-10 seconds per shot.

About 8 seconds via WIFI and 2 seconds via tether cable. I can also trigger the camera from the laptop. With the Canon software in my laptop I can see through my camera lens as well as control the camera remotely from the laptop. My Canon 77D has both WIFI and Tether cable capability.
